Because of the educational value,picture books are widely used in family education and kindergarten teaching activities.High-quality picture books can help children create a positive reading environment and encourage them to participate in reading activities.Throughout the picture book,the role is an important part of the story.Young children do not have a large vocabulary.Modeling that can intuitively and accurately convey the role’s connotation can help children understand the story,attracting children who are more interested in understanding the role’s internal image.This investigation begins with the role image of picture books,it examines the characteristics of children’s preferences for role images as well as the factors influencing children’s preferences for choice,and it offers constructive suggestions and practical strategies for parents,educators,and picture book creators.The literature method,interview method,and mosaic approach were used in this study,which included 112 middle school children from Tianjin public kindergarten A,Shenyang public kindergarten B,and Dalian public kindergarten C.The findings indicate that when selecting preferred roles,middle-class children consider both external and internal image characteristics.In the external image of children preference choice,beautiful shape,shape change,shape can meet the happy experience of the role shape;role behavior is close to children’s life,and colorful roles are generally favored by children;there is no obvious preference for the role type of children.In the internal image,children prefer the role of ability and positive temperament.After investigating the factors that influence children’s role choice preferences,it is concluded that children’s gender,experience,aesthetic empathy,family and kindergarten education,and public ideology all influence children’s role choice preferences.According to the study’s findings,the following education recommendations are made for parents,kindergarten teachers,kindergartens,and children’s picture book creators: Parents should choose picture books scientifically,pay attention to children’s participation in picture book selection,create a harmonious reading atmosphere in the family,parents’ reading drives children’s reading,resulting in effective parent-child reading.Teachers should make effective use of picture books,take the role of picture books as the connection point of activities,create and innovate picture books education activities;the kindergarten should provide rich and highquality picture book resources,so that the variety and theme are comprehensive,the picture books in the classroom should be maintained and updated in a timely manner,and the purchase of picture books should pay attention to listening to children’s voices;take picture books as the connection point of activities,create and innovate picture books education activities;the kindergarten should provide rich and high-quality picture book resources,so that the variety and theme are comprehensive,the picture books in the classroom should be maintained and updated in a timely manner,and the purchase of picture books should pay attention to listening to children’s voices;Kindergartens and teachers should use picture books to provide scientific education programs for families,and they should collaborate with families to achieve family co-education.Picture book creators should take children as the foundation,improve the professionalism of original picture books,consider the education and interest of picture books,blur the gender of roles in role design,break through the stereotype of traditional gender,and promote children’s gender education to promote children’s development.
