Chaos is common in physics, engineering, and other scientific disciplines. On one hand, the modulation of chaotic broadband signals is very difficult and limitations from physical devices limits their abilities to process chaotic signals. Thus,it is crucial to obtain chaotic signal sources that are of higher complexity and are easier to control.Memristors,as the fourth basic circuitry element to emerge, proves a new avenue by which chaotic systems may be designed.Memristors can be used as nonlinear feedback components in chaotic systems and can be integrated to a high degree of complexity. This thesis aims to build memrestive chaotic systems with amplitude and frequency control.Through system modeling, the unique dynamic system behaviour are revealed and through a thorough examination, these behaviors are validated through circuit simulation. The main work of this thesis encompasses the following:A four-dimensional memristive chaotic system with controllable amplitude is proposed. Its amplitude control and multistability control methods are explored.A generalized memristor is introduced in Liu-Chen chaotic system for amplitude control.Different from other chaotic systems, the oscillation behavior can be rescaled in amplitude and frequency by three independent controllers. One controls the amplitude of two related variables, and the other two control both amplitude and frequency of some variables.More distinctively, the proposed memristive chaotic system shows abundant coexisting pairs of attractors under the condition of broken symmetry. The circuit experiment based on Multisim agrees with the numerical exploration.A four-dimensional memristive chaotic system with controllable amplitude and frequency is proposed.Control and attractor merging methods are elucidated.Based on a variable-boostable chaotic system,an amplitude-frequency controllable chaotic system is derived.Internal memristor parameters presents a new opportunity for easy amplitude/frequency control. The dynamic behavior of the system is also analyzed and it is identified that they exhibit relatively robust chaotic oscillation as compared with other memristive systems. The phenomenon of attractors merging is identified. The circuit experiment based on STM32 agrees with the numerical exploration. The feedback controller is designed to realize the linear feedback synchronization of the partial amplitude controllable memristive system and amplitude frequency controllable memristive system. The application scope of the synchronization for the partial amplitude controllable and amplitude frequency controllable memristive system is preliminarily explored.Based on the two kinds of systems, the driving system and the response system are established.By constructing the error system between the two systems, the influence of the change of system parameters on the synchronization between the driving system and the response system is studied.
