Infrared imaging technology has become an important method of target detection with its advantages of strong adaptability to the environment, long range of action, and strong antiinterference ability.Infrared imaging is to obtain image information by detecting the radiation difference of different targets. However,in practical applications,in the case of complex background interference and low spatial resolution of the detector,Infrared imaging technology is difficult to identify target information, and there is considerable room for improvement in imaging quality. The modulation polarization inversion parameter imaging method uses light vector parameter modulation to characterize the polarization information of the measured target, which can highlight the detailed characteristics of the target, and has the characteristics of high image contrast and strong resolution. In this paper, combining the advantages of infrared imaging technology and modulation polarization inversion parameter imaging method,a long-wave infrared imaging method based on polarization parameter modulation is proposed.Firstly,on the basis of the time-sharing polarization imaging system, the thermal excitation system is designed from the two modules of image acquisition and processing and the 10.6?m laser and 532 nm laser thermal excitation infrared polarization imaging system are built.Secondly, the correction of the theoretical model. Two thermal excitation systems were used to investigate the infrared polarization characteristics of unidirectionally arranged carbon fiber-aluminum alloy structures and orthogonally arranged carbon fiber composite plates under different rotation modes.A series of polarization parameter images are obtained through image correction and theoretical model algorithm processing of the collected infrared images at different deflection angles. Finally, comparing and analyzing the results of polarization parameters,it is found that the infrared polarization characteristics of carbon fiber and the change law of different rotation modes, and the difference in the sensitivity of the two different wavelengths of 10.6?m and 532 nm to the axis orientation of the complex arrangement of carbon fibers, which provides a basis for the use of infrared polarization modulation imaging method to characterize near-surface defects in a 532 nm laser system. At the same time,it is confirmed that the infrared imaging method based on polarization parameter modulation can not only improve the quality of infrared imaging, but also provides a new detection method for the non-destructive testing of composite materials in industrial production.
