This article originates from the description of jewelry observed by the author in some literary works,but there is no specific definition of this kind of jewelry in the category of jewelry art.In the medium of writing,they are neither conventional jewelry,nor pure language,but more like a code.This kind of jewelry breaks away from the dimension and visual image of physical space and is presented in a more intentional,rational and intermediary way.This article will explore the characteristics and limitations of jewelry existing in the text media,and combine with the graduation project to give a practical exploration.First of all,the author divides the jewelry into three forms,namely,the intention jewelry presented in the form of photography and drawing.Text jewelry with text description as the medium and real jewelry existing in the physical space.By comparing and analyzing the similarities and differences between textual jewelry and real jewelry subject and narrative,the characteristics and limitations of textual jewelry narrative expression are summarized.Then it analyzes the two dimensions of physical and psychological wearing from the perspective of jewelry wearing type,and discusses the possibility of "wearing" text jewelry from the perspective of public and private wearing.From the time sequence of the evolution of jewelry symbolism and the symbolic jewelry created through text and image,the possibility of symbolic expression of text jewelry is explained.Finally,combining with the practice of graduation design,the paper discusses how text jewelry becomes a new form of jewelry art creation.
