Superhydrophobic textiles are widely concerned by the society for their excellent self-cleaning,easy decontamination,oil-water separation and other properties.It is of great application value and research significance to explore the preparation technology of superhydrophobic textiles.In recent years,magnetron sputtering technology has been widely used on the surface of textile substrate.By magnetron sputtering,various functional materials can be deposited on the surface of textiles,so as to realize the functionalization of textiles.In this paper,a micro-nano secondary rough structure was constructed on fabric surface by magnetron sputtering and hydrophobic finishing.In this paper,the hydrophobic mechanism of polyester fabric was studied from the perspective of micron.Different specifications of polyester fabric were selected and treated by short time RF magnetron sputtering PTFE target material and hydrophobic finishing process.Through the SEM analysis of the treated fabric,it was found that irregular particles,agglomerated or discontinuous films could be observed on the surface of the fabric PTFE short time sputtering,while the surface of the fabric was relatively smooth after hydrophobic finishing;Compared with the hydrophobic properties of different fabrics,two kinds of polyester fabrics with better hydrophobic effect were selected,which were characterized by higher density of warp and weft,smaller diameter of monofilament,diameter of composite filament in warp and weft direction and floating distance in warp and weft direction.The surface structure of the fabric in micron scale is closer to the scale periodic hierarchical structure of the wings of the little blue butterfly.Furthermore,the polyester fabric was roughened by alkali deweighting and steam etching.It was found that the hydrophobic effect of the rough treatment was improved.It was concluded that the alkali deweighting treatment was more suitable and the optimal alkali deweighting concentration should be controlled at about 15g/L.Furthermore,the hydrophobic mechanism of polyester fabric was studied from the perspective of nanometer.Through the orthogonal analysis of the influence of sputtering parameters on the hydrophobic effect of short time sputtering PTFE process,it was concluded that the change of sputtering power and sputtering pressure had a great influence on the hydrophobic property,while the increase of sputtering time had little effect on the hydrophobic property.Owing to the uneven distribution of nano-rough structures constructed on the fabric surface by sputtering PTFE and the low surface energy of the fabric after sputtering,it is difficult for the finishing agent molecules to adhere to the fabric surface.The hydrophobic properties of the fabric decreased slightly after the short time sputtering PTFE,so the target Ti O2 high surface energy and good performance was selected to construct the nano-rough structure.The better sputtering parameters were obtained by analysis:sputtering power is 120W,sputtering pressure is1.0Pa,sputtering time is 5min.Under these conditions,the contact angle of sputtered Ti O2 fabric after hydrophobic finishing can reach 146.69°.Finally,combined with the results of micro nano analysis,the super hydrophobic polyester fabric was prepared by pretreatment,15g/L alkali deweighting,short time sputtering Ti O2 and hydrophobic finishing.The static contact angle was 153.30°and rolling angle was 9°.SEM analysis showed that the superhydrophobic fabric had relatively uniform and stable nano-scale rough structure;AFM analysis shows that the nano roughness of superhydrophobic fabric is Rq=52.8nm,Ra=46.6nm;The binding energy peaks of C1s,O1s,F1s and Ti2P were obtained by XPS analysis;EDS analysis showed that the contents of each element were about C(83%),O(13%),f(1%)and Ti(3%);The test results show that the superhydrophobic fabric has good mechanical properties and washing resistance.
