Cold-formed thin-walled steel houses have become more and more widely used in water conservancy scenic areas in recent years due to their green, environmental protection, good seismic performance, and short construction period. For cold-formed and thin-walled buildings, holes are often made in the beam and column webs for electric wires and water pipes.my country's "Technical code of cold-formed steel structures"(GB50018-202X)has no relevant calculation method for the stable bearing capacity of web openings. For this reason, this paper uses finite element simulation, experimental research and theoretical derivation to cold-form the web with openings. The overall buckling performance and the calculation method of bearing capacity of thin-walled steel axial compression members are studied.First, the finite element software Abaqus is used to analyze the elastic overall buckling bearing capacity of the cold-formed thin-walled steel channel section members with openings on the web.Based on the analysis results and the equivalent stiffness method, the elastic buckling bearing capacity of the openings is revised.Formula;on this basis, the applicability of the overall stability factor is verified through finite element analysis.Secondly, based on the analysis of the elastic buckling bearing capacity, the finite element is used to perform a nonlinear analysis of the component, and the ultimate bearing capacity of the opening component is obtained. On this basis,a calculation method for the stable bearing capacity of cold-formed thin-walled steel channel section members based on the effective width method is given.Subsequently,42 web-opening cold-formed thin-walled steel members were subjected to axial compression tests. The influence of parameters such as section form, hole size, and hole spacing on the axial compression performance of the specimen is analyzed. The results show that the bearing capacity will decrease with the increase of the hole, and the influence of the rectangular hole on the buckling mode of the holed member is greater than that of the round hole.At the same time, the finite element software Abaqus was used to carry out finite element modeling of the specimen. The finite element analysis results are in good agreement with the test, indicating that it is feasible to use finite element analysis to analyze the buckling mode and bearing capacity of cold-formed thin-walled steel members with openings on the web. Finally, the recommended calculation method is used to calculate the bearing capacity of the test piece, and the calculation results are in good agreement with the test value. At the same time, the bearing capacity of the commonly used section members in cold-formed thinwalled steel buildings is calculated by finite element analysis and the recommended calculation method. The good agreement indicates that the method for calculating the axial compressive bearing capacity of cold-formed thin-walled steel members with web openings proposed in this paper is accurate and reliable.
