The networked,distributed and systematic combat mode of drone bee tactics will form an asymmetric combat situation in the war,and the electromagnetic pulse weapon can approach combat and has regional killing advantage,which is a potential important weapon against clustered drones.This paper focused on the damage assessment of UAV against mesoband high-power electromagnetic pulses.Taking the quad-rotor UAV as the research object,combined with theoretical analysis,electromagnetic simulation,and experimental research,the vulnerability of the UAV against the electromagnetic pulses,System-level radiation simulation,injection and system-level radiation tests were carried out.Combined with Bayesian network and electromagnetic topology principles,a systematic comprehensive damage assessment model was established,and protection strategies were provided.The research of target vulnerability shown that the electromagnetic sensitivity of the GPS navigation receiver was 281 d B,which had the highest vulnerability,that the downlink data link system was 245 d B,and that the uplink data link system was 262 d B.The microwave diode,CMOSRAM,operational amplifier,and switching transistor had low power thresholds and high vulnerability.The damage level could be divided into non-impact,interference level,out of control level,and damage level.Simulation studies shown that Gaussian electromagnetic pulses had higher efficiency and higher amplitude of cable coupling voltage than Double-exponential coupling.The coupling efficiency was positively related to the center frequency,pulse amplitude,and cable length,and the incidence angle under horizontal polarization,which was opposite for vertical polarization.Experimental research shown that the minimum injection voltage threshold of the electronic speed control system was 58 V,which is vulnerable highest,that of the GPS navigation system was 96 V,that of uplink data link system was 126 V,that of the image transmission system was 130 V,and that of the flight control system is 176 V.The power port had a lower voltage threshold and was more vulnerable than the data port.The field-strength threshold of the double-exponential electromagnetic pulse irradiation out-of-control level was 20 k V/m,and that of the Gaussian electromagnetic pulse was12.2k V/m and the field strength threshold of damage-level was 28 k V/m.The Gaussian electromagnetic pulse irradiation effect was more significant,and the field strength threshold was lower.The damage evaluation studies shown that the damage probability of Double-exponential and Gaussian electromagnetic pulse,the amplitude of that was50 k V/m,was 0.9565 and 0.9999 without the shield,both reached the damage level.The shielding of the shell greatly reduced the probability of damage,which is the main protection method of UAV.The damage assessment research of UAV against mesoband high-power electromagnetic pulse provided reference in anti-UAV methods,technology application and damage assessment of the electromagnetic pulse,and the protection of UAV against electromagnetic pulse.
