When evaluating the performance of anti-tank weapons and evaluating the vulnerability of tank targets through test methods, the use of real targets will result in too high test costs.Using equivalent target plates instead of real composite armor to carry out tests can convert damage research on tank armor into damage research on equivalent targets, achieving the purpose of simplifying tests, saving test costs and facilitating installation. In order to obtain the equivalent target of the composite armor of a typical foreigh tank under the action of the jet,the front armor of the turret, the lower armor of the hull and the side armor of the turret were selected as the research objects. The equivalent target of jet penetrating ceramic depleted uranium composite armor and ceramic rubber composite armor was studied, and the equivalent target of composite armor was established using the principle of equivalent remaining penetration depth. The main research content of this paper includes the following aspects:(1)The target armor characteristics of a typical foreigh tank are analyzed, including the type and composition of the armor. The armor types of typical tank targets are divided, and the tank armor is divided into ten parts of armor according to the installation position, and the tank armor is divided into ceramic depleted uranium composite armor, ceramic rubber composite armor, ceramic metal composite armor and homogeneous armor steel according to the armor type.It was determined that the front armor of the turret and the lower armor of the hull were ceramic depleted uranium composite armor, and the side armor of the turret was ceramic rubber composite armor.(2)The equivalent target of the ceramic depleted uranium composite armor under the action of the jet is studied, the ceramic depleted uranium composite armor is reduced in a ratio of 1:4.5,and five different jet penetration reduction ratio composite armors and penetration aftereffects of 45 steel are established. The model analyzes the change curve of the remaining penetration depth of the jet under different landing angles, and uses the principle of remaining penetration depth equivalence to obtain the equivalent target thickness of the scaled composite armor as 138.84 mm.The actual composite armor, that is,the equivalent target thickness of the front armor of the turret and the lower armor of the hull is624.78 mm.Using the engineering algorithm of composite armor anti-ballistic ability, the equivalent target thickness is 605.66 mm,and the relative error between the two is 3.16%.(3)The equivalent target of the ceramic rubber composite armor under the action of the jet is studied, the ceramic rubber armor is reduced in a ratio of 1:3,and seven different jet penetration reduction ratio composite armors and penetration aftereffects of 45 steel are established. The model analyzes the change curve of the remaining penetration depth at different angles, and combines the remaining penetration depth equivalent principle to obtain the equivalent target thickness of the scaled ceramic rubber composite armor as 147.67 mm.The actual composite armor, that is,the equivalent target thickness of the side armor of the turret is 443.01 mm.Using the engineering algorithm of composite armor anti-ballistic capability, the equivalent target thickness is 403.67 mm,and the relative error between the two is 9.75%.(4)In order to verify the accuracy of simulation and theoretical calculations,a benchmark projectile was designed to penetrate the reduced ratio ceramic rubber composite armor and the 45 steel test, and the remaining penetration depth of the jet 10° penetration ratio composite armor and the jet penetration 45 were obtained. The depth of steel, combined with the principle of equivalence, yields a thickness of 140.40 mm for the reduced composite armor. The actual composite armor, that is,the equivalent target thickness of the side armor of the turret is 421.20 mm,the error between simulation and simulation is 5.18%,and the error between engineering algorithm is 4.34%.
