Haruki Murakami is one of the most influential contemporary Japanese writers. His works are well known in Japan,China and the West.Kafka on the Shore was published in 2002.The novel has been translated into many languages and widely read by readers from all over the world.Scholars have different opinions on it.Hayao Kawai,Tenyo Kado,Ategi Numaya and others highly praise it,Ichio Kurotani,Youichi Komori,Qing Gang,You Tonglai and others express incisive critical attitude.Jay·Rubin,Liu Yan and others view it in a neutral sight. The paper will be based on the original text,in view of the advance research, explore the protagonist Kafka boy's spiritual world. This paper discusses the impact of the Kafka on the Shore and some research significance. The main body discusses the curse on the Kafka boy and contrasts it with the myth of the original classic Oedipus. The myth of Oedipus reflects a classical theme of Greek tragedy,"Fate is irresistible",but Haruki Murakami rewrites it in Kafka on the Shore. It shows that "fate has a turning point, even once stepped into a desperate situation,he can also be saved." Then,in the light of Murakami's Tony Takitani and modern academic theories, discuss the loneliness of the Kafka boy.His loneliness is universal and can arouse the resonance of many readers,he is the agent of the lonely people in the world. His attitude of facing up to loneliness gives some enlightenment to modern people. He created a character "the boy called Crow" to enlighten himself, this self-enlightenment method is useful for many people. The influence of reading books on young Kafka spiritual world.Arabian Nights opens the door to the other world for him,but it also presents him with the image of sexual abandon.Franz Kafka's in exile made him realize that he was in a system of violence created by his father, and plays down his guilt about killing his father by predicting that his father would destroy himself in violence. The miner and the The Tale of Genji, two Japanese literary works in the novel reference, the miner symbolized through the "well" this kind of image enters own innermost feelings. The Tale of Genji suggests a way of thinking that looks deep into one's own subconscious.Hannah Arendt's Eichmann in Jerusalem forced him to contemplate his own responsibility for violence and crime, but the introspection was limited in the level of personal violence.By analyzing this text,we can also see Murakami's view of collective crime.Evil is focused on the leader at the top of the evil system, and the perpetrators at the bottom are mindless puppets. This view shows a tendency to shift the blame for the perpetrators at the bottom of a evil system. The images of the forest and the other world are related to the spiritual world of Kafka boy.The forest provides a place for him to purify his evil through death.Kafka boy think about his violence in the forest. Two Japanese soldiers of World War II show up in the forest. They fail to help Kafka boy to think about Japan's state violence and wartime responsibilities. It also shows that Haruki Murakami do not want to reflect deeply on the escapism of World War II history during he writing this novel. This evasive attitude appeals to some Japanese who want to deny the history. The other world is a refuge. In the other world Kafka boy meets his mother and finds salvation. He hoped to heal himself with the power of art and nature, but don't want to atone for his crime. From the view of personal growth, his redemption is very touching,in a desperate situation to give people hope,to give the reader to heal. However, from the perspective of literary value and social significance, his redemption lacks reality and has the sense of escape.
