The Virtual World - "virtual" In Artistic Expression And Its Meaning Extension

Based on the practice of individual artistic creation,this thesis discusses the selection process of the theme,expression and the interior connotation.This thesis consists of four parts:1.The first part illustrates the current positioning of my artistic creation,including the comprehension of creational functions,self-requirements,and phased goals.2.According to the direction of my current philosophical thinking,the thesis briefly explains my understanding of “virtual” from a theoretical perspective and introduces the creative theme that can be discussed and practiced.3.The thesis sorts out the Eastern and Western artists who have used the virtual method as abstract or figurative expression in the history of art.Three representative artists are selected for specific sorting and summary,which can be considered as a valuable reference for personal exploration of virtual image expression.4.Combining my personal philosophic theories and practical experience of other predecessors,the author significantly elaborates on inner connotation behind image presentation by observing and thinking in the process of artistic practice,and explores more possibilities in the combination of “technique” and “art”.
