| The Yuan Family Education,written by Yuan Ts' ai in the southern song dynasty,is one of the most famous family motto in the history of Chinese family motto.On the basis of predecessors' experience,Yuan Ts' ai put forward a set of practical and useful norms for cultivating one's morality and governing one's family based on the actual situation of family life.Behind these norms of self-cultivation and family management is Yuan Ts' ai's unique family ethics.The study of The Yuan Family Education's ethical thoughts not only helps us to understand and analyze the uniqueness of Yuan Ts' ai's family ethical thoughts,but also helps us to understand the performance of Confucian ethical thoughts in the family field.From the perspective of ethics,this paper analyzes the family ethical thoughts of The Yuan Family Education,and through the comparison with other family ethical thoughts,highlights the theoretical insight and modern significance of his family ethical thoughts.The prosperity of civil culture in the early southern song dynasty and the revival of Confucianism in the northern song dynasty had a profound impact on Yuan Ts' ai's family ethics.At first,Yuan Ts' ai analyzed the basic ethical norms of father and son and husband and wife in the family,and then elaborated the ethical content of family members' personal cultivation.Finally,standing in the family environment,he analyzed the ethical norms of family members and other social personnel.The order of ethics argumentations from family to individual to society,from harmonious relatives to running the family,is exactly the important influence of Confucian ethics tradition of taking family as the standard and from oneself to others on Yuan Ts' ai.On the one hand,Yuan Ts' ai adopted plain language when analyzing many ethical viewpoints.On the other hand,from the real life,put forward a lot of practical,easy to implement the ethical concept,this kind of attention to the common people and the real life of the ethical attitude,in fact,is the citizen culture to his influence,this kind of influence shows a kind of modern characteristics.From the perspective of modern ethics,the family ethics of The Yuan Family Education is progressive: it fully affirms the significance of real life,expresses notonly the ethical idea that the nature between father and son can not be strong,but also expresses sympathy for the status of women in family life.It also includes the limitations of the theory: a kind of fatalism against the pursuit of wealth and a theory of retribution for good and evil.At the same time,the role ethics of The Yuan Family Education and the "living" ethics of portal have positive significance for the healthy development of modern family ethics. |
