Tang Caichang's Philosophical Thought Research

Modern China is a special historical period.During this period,philosophers like Tang Caichang experienced the dual invasion of culture and force from the western imperialism,and at the same time,they were faced with the dilemma of the loss of land.Therefore,the study of Tang Caichang's philosophical thought is helpful to better understand the changes of Chinese modern thought.Starting from the articles written by Tang Caichang,this paper mainly adopts the method of combining theoretical analysis and comparative analysis to summarize the theoretical source,basic content and historical evaluation of Tang Caichang's philosophical thought.The first chapter is the theoretical source of Tang Caichang's philosophical thought.It is mainly divided into four sections,taking Tang Caichang's growth course as the main line,to analyze the theoretical source of Tang Caichang's philosophical thought.These four subsections can be subdivided into two aspects.On the one hand,the intrinsic reason for the formation of Tang Caichang's philosophy lies in the traditional Confucian education and the cultural inheritance of his hometown in Hunan.On the other hand,it is the external reason for the formation of Tang Caichang's philosophical thought.On the other hand,the external reason for the formation of Tang Caichang's philosophy lies in the influence of friends of the reformers and the influence of western natural science thought.The second chapter is the basic content of Tang Caichang's philosophical thought.It is mainly divided into five sections,mainly based on Tang Caichang's thoughts from his childhood to the Reform Movement of 1898,to analyze and demonstrate the specific content of Tang Caichang's philosophical thoughts.Starting from the main issues discussed in Chinese philosophy,these five sections explore the basic contents of Tang Caichang's views on heaven and man,mind,personality,change and history,as well as the internal relations among various ideas.The third chapter is the historical evaluation of Tang Caichang's philosophy.It is mainly divided into three sections.Starting from the content of Tang Caichang's philosophical thoughts,it analyzes the historical influence of Tang Caichang's philosophical thoughts.These three sections are divided into positive historical contributions,negative theoretical errors and enlightening contemporary values for the present society.Tang Caichang,as a famous thinker in modern times,has always appeared as a political activist,but the content of his philosophical thoughts is rarely mentioned.This paper summarizes Tang Caichang's philosophical thoughts,so as to fill the blank of the current academic research on Tang Caichang's philosophical thoughts.
