In Japanese-Chinese machine translation, the handling of verb polysemy is one of the most difficult problems to solve. The thesis is guided by valence grammar and semantic field theory, oriented to Japanese-Chinese machine translation, using corpus, dictionaries and other tools to formalize the semantics of the modern Japanese verb "kakeru" and formulate machine translation rules.Through the test, the accuracy rate reached 93.75%,far higher than Baidu translation(77.08%),Google translation(54.17%)and excite translation(29.17%).The main body of this thesis is composed of three parts: introduction, main theory and conclusion. In the introduction part,it mainly introduces the research background, research summary, research purpose, research object and method, research innovation and source of corpus. In this part, the first chapter mainly introduces the operating systems related to machine translation, including word segmentation system, syntactic analysis system and online Japanese-Chinese machine translation system. The second chapter analyzes the mistranslation phenomenon of "kakeru" in Japanese-Chinese machine translation, and divides the error types into three categories: wrong translation, omission of translation and idiom translation error. And made an analysis from the perspective of Japanese linguistics and Japanese-Chinese translation. The third chapter describes the semantic formalization of "kakeru" and formulates machine translation rules, tests the rules through corpus, and tries to build a word sense disambiguation system. Conclusion: Through the semantic field theory,we can classify and code Japanese nouns semantically.Verbs should also fill in the number of valences and the semantics of the corresponding components. In the rule-constrained condition,a certain valence relationship is specified for the semantic combination of verbs. If this relationship cannot be combined, the unification fails. This ruled out a considerable part of the ambiguity caused by improper collocation.
