From the second half of the nineteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth century,impressionism and post-impressionism entered the French painting scene with brand-new attitudes.This article mainly discusses two French art masters,the impressionist painter Eliel Germain Degas and the post-impressionist painter Henri de Toulouse Lautrec.Both artists have been involved in paintings of dancing girls,and they are outstanding representatives of European paintings of dancing girls in the 19 th century.Degas and Lautrec were both French painters,and they had intersections with each other.Lautrec idolized Degas very much.Degas' paintings influenced Lautrec's artistic creation to a certain extent.Both painters have created a large number of works with dancing girls as the subject.Degas' s creation of dancing girls is a perfect combination of classicist modeling and impressionism.It is his own academic experiment and "academic".Lautrec's creation of dancing girls is one of the important components of his indulgent living environment.It is a "human" and a materialized existence.Lautrec's art is the embodiment of his materialistic pursuit,the expression of his inner monologue and emotions,and the interpretation in self-ridicule.The two painters have similarities in the composition of photographs,their attention to reality,the momentary capture of a sense of movement,and the various expressions of art forms.However,there are differences in the expression of colors,the use of lines,the expression of perspective,and the way of expression of characters.The article is divided into five chapters,respectively,on the origin of the creation of Degas and Lautrek dancers,the similarities in the themes of dancers,the differences in the themes of dancers,and the common ground and differences that caused the similarities and differences in the paintings of the two dancers.The reason,as well as the contribution and value presented by the comparative study of the two painters dancing girl theme paintings are explained.Through the comparative study of Degas and Lautrek's dance-girl theme paintings,it is found that under the same era background,artistic trend and attention to real life,the two express the similarities in the dance-girl theme paintings.And under the influence of different life experiences and different artistic concerns,there are obvious differences between the two in the painting of dancing girls.Through comparative research,it helps us discover the influence of different life experiences on the artist's artistic style,as well as the different roles played by dancers in the artistic careers of Degas and Lautrek,and clearly straighten out Impressionism and Post-Impressionism in art.Conceptual differences,and strengthen the cognition of "aesthetics" and "the beauty of ugly appreciating",and analyze the enlightenment of modernist paintings by the works of the two artists.At the same time,Degas and Lautrek's dance-girl theme paintings reveal the living conditions of women at the bottom of society,which will help society to pay attention to and think about reality,and deepen people's understanding and exploration of issues related to the essence of society.Regardless of Degas' s Dancing Girls or Lautrec's Dancing Girls,the innovations in expressive techniques and positive values conveyed by the works of the two artists have had a positive impact on the art of later generations.
