Xu Zechen,a writer born in the 1970 s,is one of the creative forces that cannot be ignored in the contemporary literary world.He took "spiritual homeland" as the important perspective and content of his novel creation,and created the cultural symbols and spiritual homes of "Flower Street" and "Canal",which became an important means for Xu Zechen to construct a literary base and highlight the uniqueness of literature.The "spiritual homeland" and its unique writing represent the writer's recollection and spiritual support,and reveal the writer's consciousness of searching for roots and the pursuit of "spiritual homeland".Based on previous research results and centering on Xu Zechen's novels,this paper,from the perspective of "spiritual homeland" writing,adopts the methods of text close reading,literature research,case study and so on,to discuss the specific picture of "spiritual homeland" writing in Xu Zechen's novels.The thesis consists of six parts: introduction,thesis and conclusion.The introduction summarizes the research background of the paper.The research status of "spiritual homeland" novels and Xu Zechen's novels is summarized,and the research methods and values of this paper are expounded.The first chapter starts with the evolution of the concept of "spiritual homeland" in different periods of Chinese modern and contemporary literature,and analyzes the differences between "spiritual homeland","homeland" and "hometown".Through the work,the author explores the "spiritual homeland" built by Xu Zechen around the key words "Flower Street" and "Canal",and extracts the direction and characteristics of the writing of the "spiritual homeland" : diversified character shaping and unique narrative.In the second chapter,the characters of intellectuals,farmers/boat people,and workers are selected,and "going to the world","home on this boat" and "living elsewhere" are extracted as the key words of the spiritual world,to study the spiritual dilemmas of different groups and their breakthrough,and to search for the spiritual homeland.By expatiating and studying the categories of the three types of images and their different writing styles,this paper reveals the spiritual survival prospect of specific groups in China.The third chapter,with narrative perspective and narrative image as the key words,elaborates Xu Zechen's unique narrative and presentation mode centering on the theme of "spiritual homeland ".The narrative perspective focuses on the research of children's perspective and outside perspective,to see through the world and people,and to find the spiritual homeland;The narrative image focuses on the natural ecological image and the social humanistic image,from which the spirit of the spiritual homeland and the thought of spiritual return home are analyzed.The fourth chapter aims to study the value of Xu Zechen's writing of "spiritual homeland",that is,the uniqueness of the writing of "spiritual homeland" writing and the value of literary history.The unique value of the writing of " spiritual homeland" is reflected in the consideration of the spiritual process and spiritual dilemma of the post-70 generation,as well as the exploration of the spiritual outlet;The value of literary history is reflected in the continuous expansion of the connotation and extension of the writing of "spiritual homeland" to the world,which makes the "spiritual homeland" in the writing become a charming and marking symbol.His writing of "spiritual homeland " is innovative in literary history and enriches the writing types of spiritual hometown novels.In the conclusion,the author briefly expounds the value of the "spiritual homeland" writing of Xu Zechen's novels in the study of Xu Zechen's novels,and points out the possible problems in this paper and the direction of efforts.
