Brahms was one of the most influential composers in Europe during the Romantic period.He played a pivotal role on the stage of Western music and played an important role in promoting the development of music during the Romantic period.To this day,Brahms' s music works are still enduring on the world music stage,and are deeply loved by music practitioners and lovers.The Clarinet "Sonata No.2 in E flat major" is a very representative clarinet work by Brahms,and it occupies an important position in the development of clarinet music.The writing of this article,through the accumulation of a large number of documents,on the basis of the existing research of predecessors,researches on the creative characteristics of Brahms,the creative background of the clarinet "Sonata No.2 in E flat major",and the musical elements.At the same time Combining my own performance experience and the characteristics of the clarinet,the whole work is analyzed.This article is mainly divided into three chapters.The first section of the first chapter summarizes the composition background of this sonata,and the second section summarizes the overall style and composition background of Brahms' late chamber music from the perspective of music history.Chapter Two analyzes the musical elements of Brahm's Clarinet "Sonata No.2 in E flat major" from three aspects: structure analysis,harmony change characteristics,and musical style grasp.The third chapter is a discussion on the performance of the clarinet "Sonata No.2 in E flat major",including the use of special fingerings,timbre changes,the use of breath of long-span notes,,the technique of playing long-span notes and the interaction with piano parts.
