| Under the background of closer political,economic and cultural exchanges between Laos and China,Lao People’s demand and love for Chinese are also growing.As a result,the Chinese Department of Lao National University has set up a Chinese major,which has recruited a large number of students to learn Chinese in recent years.In order to understand the teaching situation and students’ satisfaction of Chinese major in Chinese Department of Lao National University,this paper investigates the oral teaching of this major by means of questionnaire survey and interview survey,and puts forward suggestions to improve the teaching methods according to the survey results.This paper uses five dimensions of educational environment,teaching materials and curriculum content,the relationship between teachers and students in teaching,the quality and attitude of teachers,teaching evaluation and feedback.Then the survey results of five dimensions are divided into three groups according to gender,age and Chinese proficiency.At the same time,10 students and 8 teachers were interviewed one-on-one to understand the learning situation of students in oral Chinese class of Lao National University and the teaching situation of teachers.According to the survey,the lowest satisfaction of teaching environment is "class arrangement" and "classroom management";the lowest satisfaction of teaching materials and curriculum content is "oral teaching content is easy to be interesting" and "curriculum content pays attention to practice";the lowest satisfaction of teacher-student relationship is "interaction between teachers and students" and "oral difficulty is timely" In terms of teachers’ quality and attitude,"teachers’ attention to students’ oral pronunciation" and "teachers’ encouragement to students’ expression" are the lowest;in terms of teaching evaluation and feedback,"correction of Chinese pronunciation" and "correction of Chinese knowledge" are the lowest.The reasons for the low satisfaction in the above aspects are: the school does not pay enough attention to Chinese teaching and classroom management;the design level of teaching materials is low,and teachers do not pay attention to interest in teaching;the lack of understanding of interactive teaching and communication with students;the lack of Chinese teachers and professionalism;the lack of in-depth analysis of test results and timely listening to students It’s not the students’ opinion.According to the results of the survey and analysis,this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve oral Chinese Teaching: increase the total class hours according to the needs,strengthen the classroom management of oral Chinese teaching;improve the design level of teaching materials,enhance the interest of teachers’ teaching;improve the understanding of interactive teaching,keep close to the talent training objectives;cultivate more Chinese teachers,and constantly improve the professional quality of existing teachers;attach great importance to the teaching of oral Chinese According to the analysis of the test results,actively listen to the students’ opinions on the test results.Through the above measures,students’ satisfaction with oral Chinese teaching can be improved.The relevant conclusions of this paper hope to provide some reference for the oral Chinese course of Chinese Department of Lao National University,arrange suitable projects for students,effectively improve the teaching quality of oral Chinese course of Lao National University,and strengthen students’ ability of oral Chinese. |
