The Exploration And Interpretation Of Xu Zhibin's Art Song "Xizhou Song"

“Xizhouqu” is an art song created by contemporary composer Xu Zhibin in 2019.Lyrics from a Yuefu poem of Southern dynasty with the same title.The song was based on pentatonic mode but integrated with modern composing techniques.The great phrases and musical mode Mr.Xu used excellently translated the phonology and the rhythm of the original poem,and the scene,the mood,the atmosphere and the affection of the poem was delicately reshaped by unique speed,strength,paragraph arrangement,melody and harmony.This is a masterpiece with a great combination of lyric and melody and it is of high literary and musical value.This thesis will take Xu Zhibin's art song "Xizhouqu" as the research object.It will study and explore the historical background,development and artistic value of the lyrics,makes a comprehensive analysis of the music style,musical form structure,accompaniment texture and the logical relationship between melody and lyrics of the song at the first to expounds both literary and musical aesthetic significance in “Xizhouqu”.Later,I will focus on the aspects of respiration,vocal techniques,emotional expression,enunciation and “Run Qiang”(polish tune)to detailing my own singing experience and finally proceed to the interpretation of modern ancient poetry and art songs.
