After more than 400 years development, opera art,as one of the categories of Western stage art,has developed into the most well-known,most widespread, and most complex form of stage art performance.Opera movies are derived from the art of opera.Although they belong to the niche movies, opera movies can eternally keep those wonderful moments that cannot be surpassed in opera. Those artists'momentary extreme expressions of love and hatred;those touching arias and retellings;those familiar opera overtures, interludes, and those exhilarating renditions and choruses, can be reproduced continuously through the recording of images. The development process of music presentation form in opera films from stereo, surround sound to multi-dimensional sound has injected more expressive space for opera movies music.Based on the development of opera films, this thesis classifies and elaborates the sound production process of opera films, also takes the opera film "John Rabe" as an example to analyze the on-site sound pickup tech and the technical skills of post-mixing.
