The translated text entitled Experiences of Personal Academic Understanding is selected from Student Learning and Academic Understanding.This chapter explores the essence of “understanding” and its importance to students' learning,as well as proposes several feasible means to help students achieve "understanding",which is in line with the current domestic background and provides new ideas and reference for researchers and teacher's teaching.In this paper,the translator makes a case study of the text from different levels.At the lexical level,the translator uses logical extension and pragmatic extension to determine the lexical meaning,as well as discuss the translation of prepositions;At the sentence level,taking the participial construction as an example,the translator adopts the skills of translating into parallel verbs,embedding construction and extraposition construction;At the level of textual cohesion,according to the characteristics of the discourse,the translator adopts the skills of adding and omitting conjunctions and anaphoras.The translator hopes to enrich the translation practice of pedagogical texts and provide reference for others to translate such texts into Chinese.
