Walter Benjamin was known as the "last intellectual" in Europe in the 20 th century,made achievements in literature,aesthetics,translatology,linguistics and many other fields.Among all his theories,"shock aesthetics" is a part that cannot be ignored.This thesis attempts to explore the concrete content of Benjamin's “shock aesthetics” through the writing of three parts: the production background of "shock",the experience dimension of "shock" and the redemptive significance of "shock".The production of "shock aesthetics" has specific background,it first teases the social and cultural background of the theory at that time and discusses the development process of the "shock aesthetics" in more detail way,lay the foundation of the following research.On this basis,it begins to discuss the experience dimension of "shock",the thesis selects Baudelaire's creation theory in the field of poetry,Brecht's theatre theory in the field of film,and the experience of the Parisian public in the field of life to comprehensively explore the experience dimension of "shock".Finally,the redemptive significance of "shock" is summarized from two aspects of life and art.Because of Benjamin's complicate identity and complex thought,the exploration of Benjamin's "shock aesthetics" can only has a restricted view of his thought,but it is still helpful for us to have a more detailed and indepth understanding of Benjamin's ideological system,and it is also conducive to the "shock aesthetics" full of vitality in the new era,and gives us ideological inspiration.
