A Comparative Study Of Ecofeminism In Chi Zijian And Han Jiang's Novels

Chi Zijian and Han Jiang are representative female writers in China and South Korea,and there are a lot of thoughts on ecological and female problems in their works.This paper will make a comparative study of the main literary works of the two writers,and found the similarities and differences in ecological female consciousness in the works of the two writers.The main body of the text is mainly divided into four chapters.The first part mainly analyzes the ecological consciousness in Chi Zijian's works.In the era of rapid modernization,biodiversity has been destroyed,unreasonable development has led to a lot of waste of resources,and the idea of animism has been replaced by the western idea of materialism.In this case,both writers expressed concern about ecological destruction in modern society and expressed their yearning for harmonious ecology.The second part mainly analyzes the female images in Chi Zijian's works and the relationship between women and nature.Both writers pay attention to the marginal women in the society.Chi Zijian mainly writes about the life and problems encountered by women in the countryside,while Han Jiang focuses on the life plight of women at the bottom of the city.In the relationship between women and nature,Chi Zijian likes to compare women to natural scenery,or let animals become women's friends.Hanjiang is to let women alienate into the form of plants to escape human violence.The third part mainly analyzes the differences of Chi Zijian's ecological feminist consciousness in Hanjiang and the reasons for the differences.In terms of ecological consciousness,Chi Zijian let plants and animals have their own feelings,and let women become friends with them.Han Jiang is to let women become plants and animals themselves,so as to escape the original sin as human beings,stay away from violence and retain their own dignity.In the relationship between men and women,Chi Zijian hopes to return to the simple human nature of the traditional social era,regardless of men and women,all proceed from human nature,live in harmony and complement each other.Han Jiang,on the other hand,criticizes the harm of male patriarchy to women,hoping to eliminate the violence in human nature and establish a new system.The two authors have different solutions to ecological and female problems,mainly due to their different growth experiences and different religious and cultural influences.The fourth part mainly discusses the inspiration of the works of Chi Zijian and Han Jiang to modern people,including the pursuit of equality,the rejection of violence,the return to human nature and so on.Through this paper,we can see the similarities and differences between China and South Korea on ecological problems and women's problems,and we can also see the two writers' different understanding of these issues.It is conducive to a further step in the comparative study of ecological female literature between China and South Korea.
