Chen Musheng's Flute Solo "Loulan Fu" Works Research And Performance Practice

Musheng Chen is a famous contemporary Chinese composer and a senior professor of composition department of Shanghai Conservatory of music.His music creation involves vocal works,chorus,symphony,Concerto,symphonic poetry,chamber music,instrumental solo and other genres.His music often shows the spirit of excavating the connotation of China's traditional thought and traditional culture.Through many years of creation,he innovated on the basis of national tonality,and summarized the music theory of "axial heart sound composition principle" and "single tone law".He was once praised by European media as "one of the most watched Chinese composers of the younger generation"."Ode of Loulan" is a modern Chinese flute work written by Musheng Chen for Beijing Nicolai International Flute Commission.Using the musical form structure of segmental variation,a theme melody is changed by changing its speed,strength,rhythm,beat and different performance techniques.The whole song consists of eight parts,namely introduction,six variation themes and ending.The work is carried out through the national pentatonic superposition of the major second and minor third of the core motivation materials and the continuous development of the core sound E.in each variation,the composer indicates the feeling of performance and the words that need to play the sound effect on the spectrum.As the last performance work of the author's master's degree concert,this song is technically rich in a large number of modern flute performance techniques,such as the intersection of overtones,different types of keystrokes,if there is no air tremor,glide,flower tongue,etc.in order to pursue a unique sound effect,the composer even marked specific performance methods and performance fingers in some paragraphs.Therefore,in daily practice and performance,we should not only accurately grasp the overall style of music,but also pay more attention to the difficulties in the performance skills of works.Only the combination of the two can play works more accurately.This paper takes Ode of Loulan as an example.Through understanding the composer's creative background and style,the author further analyzes the musical form structure,theme construction and performance techniques of the work,hoping to restore the spectrum and play the work from all aspects as much as possible.The author hopes that from the perspective of this article,he can have a better help and understanding for his future performance of other modern flute works,and improve Abstract his future technical research and stage performance ability of modern flute works.This work also includes a variety of modern flute performance techniques,which has a profound impact on the research of modern flute works,It can provide more reliable information for himself and the players who will play this work or other modern flute works in the future.
