Authenticity and falsity is one of the core issues in the study of novels,and the study of novel characters,archetypal characters and original characters has always been the top priority in the study of ancient novels.However,the type of true and false characters studied in this paper is different from that.The true and false characters here are confined to the same text and dimension,and changes must take place in the identity of the false characters,whose replacement of the true characters is intentionally resulted.In this process,some people must be blinded by the false characters' behaviors.The core of true and false character plot type is the change of character's identity,which is determined and maintained in social relations.In traditional Chinese thoughts,“Wulun”,which can also be called the five cardinal Confucian relationships,contains five most basic social relationships in people' daily life.Therefore,the first part of this paper talks about the true and false character plot type in ancient novels from the point of view of the parent-child relationship,the monarch-subject relationship,the conjugal relationship,brotherhood relationship and friend relationship.Up to now,in addition to the monarch-subject relationship,the contemporary social relations have basically continued the traditional “Wulun”,and the plots of true and false characters in contemporary literary and artistic works have also basically inherited the situations in ancient novels,which are mainly divided into direct inheritance of the original story and mode inheritance of true and false characters.At the same time,with the constant germination of new ideas,the true and false character plot type inevitably have new changes in the macro basic mode.As modern and contemporary literary works are always updating,it is difficult to achieve complete generalizations of new changes.As a result,this paper mainly analyzes the new changes from three new trends,which are the maturity of the pattern of true and false daughters,the diversification of the concept of surrogate and the bidirectional transformation of true and false characters.The plot type of true and false characters has run through ancient and modern times,and the reason why they still have vitality after the baptism of time is worth pondering.This paper states the literature and history records of actual events and the effective way of forming true and false characters to find the basic reasons for the existence of the plot type of true and false characters.What's more,this paper also analyzes factors such as justice,sense of order and the philosophy of returning in order to know why this plot type can inherit.Finally,the person's subjectivity,feminism and some other elements are also discussed in this part to explain the causes of the innovations in this plot type at the present.During this process,this paper takes a new way of research into practice,which combines modern and contemporary literary works with the ancient novels.
