Pathfinding is one of the necessary skills in our daily life.Acquiring spatial knowledge, namely forming stable spatial representation of the environment,is the key to completing pathfinding tasks.Driving is a common pathfinding activity in daily life.A large number of literatures have been published to explain the influence of traditional driving tasks on drivers' spatial knowledge acquisition.Self-driving vehicles is the research focus in the intelligent transportation,in the process of the automatic driving pathfinding behavior caused by the phenomenon of spatial memory caused the extensive research, and automatic driving and driving the traditional differences in spatial memory law also gradually become one of the researchers focus on the content.Experiment 1 explored the differences of spatial knowledge acquisition between drivers and passengers in the traditional driving situation. The single-factor experiment design was adopted. The driving role was the inter-subject variable, and the dependent variable was the eye movement index during learning and the behavior test result after learning. The experiment is divided into three stages: practice, learning and testing. In the exercise stage, the subjects are required to be familiar with the operation mode of the simulated driving system and the navigation prompt mode.In the learning stage, the subjects walk through the whole scene twice under the guidance of navigation, and the eye movement information of the subjects is recorded in the whole process. In the test stage, the subjects are required to complete three tasks: scene re cruise, scene recognition and sequential recognition in order to test the subjects' learning of scene spatial information. On the basis of experiment 1,experiment 2 changed the driving mode to automatic driving, tried to further explore the spatial knowledge differences between drivers and passengers in the automatic driving scene, and compared the spatial knowledge acquisition laws in the two scenes.Through the above experiments, the research found that(1)In the traditional driving situation, passengers have better spatial memory than drivers, and the difference is mainly reflected in the learning of path information;manual drivers pay more attention to road information, and manual passengers pay more attention to building information.(2)In the automatic driving situation, there was no significant difference in eye movement and subsequent behavior test results between drivers and passengers.(3)The spatial memory of drivers in the automatic driving condition was better than that in the manual driving condition, and the spatial memory of passengers in the two driving conditions had no significant difference.
