Voting is a common way for people to get collective opinions in their daily life.The traditional voting methods have defects,such as space and time constraints,interference of human factors and so on.With the development of electronic technology,electronic voting came into being in this context.There are many forms of electronic voting,one of which is based on direct recording electronic(DRE)machine.After Chaum first proposed to introduce cryptography tools into the electronic election system,many researchers have developed the research of electronic election system,and proposed many widely accepted basic properties that should be satisfied by electronic election system,including privacy,integrity and verifiability.At the same time,the development of quantum computing leads to the security challenges of some traditional encryption algorithms.Based on the analysis of the DRE-based electronic voting system in the past,focusing on the basic properties and some extended properties,this paper designs an electronic voting system based on the integrity,ever-last privacy,robustness and scalability of DRE devices,named DRE-ieprs electronic voting system.Many processes,such as vote encryption based on Pedersen commitment,multi device initialization based on DC net protocol,vote validity verification based on zero knowledge proof,and vote recovery based on Shamir secret sharing protocol,as well as a whole set of election process which integrates the above processes,are included in the design of DRE-ieprs electronic election system.At the same time,this paper analyzes and proves that each process of the DRE-ieprs electronic voting system satisfies the basic security properties in detail,and especially explains the support from the cryptography technology to the voter's privacy and the integrity of the voting system under the assumption of the model,where the privacy includes permanent privacy and collective privacy.This paper also implements the DRE-ieprs voting system based on Raspberry Pi platform.Through the development of client and bulletin board server,a prototype system of DREieprs is implemented.In this paper,the efficiency of the system is compared with the existing electronic election system model,which proves the feasibility of the DRE-ieprs election system design and the rationality of the process.
