Since the independence of Central Asia in 1991,the vacuum of the political system,the drastic adjustment of economic relations and social structure in Central Asia has provided Western NGOs with a broad space for development.The activities of Western NGOs in Central Asia have experienced four stages: development,prosperity,decline,and then gradually recovering.At the same time,Central Asian countries have also taken corresponding measures to the development of Western NGOs.Among them,Western NGOs are mainly represented by the National Democracy Foundation,the Carnegie Foundation for International Peace,and the Soros Open Society Foundation.Their activities have had a positive and negative impact on the political,economic and social aspects of Central Asian countries.At the same time,there are some activity characteristics.
