Quadratic function is an important knowledge point in junior high school mathematics learning,its connotation is profound,the content is intricate,the thought method is rich and diverse,so students find it difficult when solving quadratic function.Through the problem solving self-monitoring,teachers can enhance students’ ability to analyze and solve problems,to cultivate students’ habits of independent thinking,rethinking questions,so that they can break through the problem solving quadratic function,improve the students’ mathematical problem solving efficiency,so as to improve students examination of quadratic function score,and the subsequent functions of learning for students,to lay a good foundation,which is based on this.This paper carries out the Grade 9 students self-monitoring of quadratic function problem solving research.This study adopts the methods of literature research,investigation and case interview.In this study,the author firstly sorted out and summarized the theoretical research on learning disability of quadratic function and self-monitoring.Through the test investigation on the ability of self-monitoring of quadratic function problem solving of junior three students,we have learnt about the present situation of the ability of self-monitoring of quadratic function problem solving of junior three students,and have found the deficiencies.Then,with the combination of case analysis,we deeply understand the self-monitoring ability of top students,average students and students with learning difficulties in solving quadratic function problems.On the basis of summarizing the existing data and combining with the results of investigation and case analysis,we explore some strategies to cultivate the self-monitoring ability of junior three students solving quadratic function problems.Through questionnaires and case interviews,we can conclude that:(1)the students’mathematics self-monitoring ability is weak,lacking understanding,especially the thinking methods which are commonly used in mathematics.The students cannot grasp the essence of mathematics.They cannot internalize and transfer knowledge because the self-monitoring ability weakness hinders the development of mathematical thinking,leads to the lack of learning experiences in solving mathematics problem of quadratic function,influences the effect of the quadratic function problem solving.(2)in solving quadratic function problems,girls’self-monitoring ability is higher than boys’ self-monitoring ability,which is consistent with the fact that girls’ overall performance is higher than boys’ overall performance in various math tests in junior middle school.It is consistent with the good habit of summarizing and rethinking after solving the problem.(3)the self-monitoring ability of solving quadratic functions of students with excellent performance is better than that of students with average performance and students with learning difficulties.And the stronger self-monitoring ability to solve quadratic function the students have,the higher their maths will be.In view of the above conclusions,the suggestions for teaching are as follows:(1)pay attention to the effective examination of the topic,(2)find the common method,(3)train the effective representation,(4)standardize the problem-solving process,(5)train the timely reflection.The practice shows that the strategies discussed in this paper have certain reference value and help to cultivate students’ ability of self-monitoring in solving mathematical problems and improve the effect of solving quadratic functions. |
