| The educational concept advocated by STEM education is to conduct science education based on real situations,integrate scientific knowledge and mathematical knowledge with technology application and engineering design,and acquire scientific and mathematical knowledge in the process of engineering design and technology application.In traditional physics teaching,junior high school students’ physics knowledge is out of step with technology application and engineering design.STEM education makes up for the deficiency of traditional physics teaching.The "STEM education" with the educational concepts of "subject integration" and "integrated teaching" has attracted increasing attention from educators,students and parents.To explore the design and practice of physics teaching in junior high school based on STEM education concept will provide guidance and reference for the STEM education in junior high school physics teaching.Firstly,this paper analyzes the literature to understand the status quo of STEM education research and the application of STEM education concept in the teaching design of specific subjects.Secondly,based on the STEM education concept,this paper analyzes the 9th grade physics teaching materials,selects the chapters that can be designed with the guidance of STEM education concept,conducts a systematic analysis of the selected chapters,and designs the design cases of junior middle school physics teaching based on STEM education concept.Next,a case study of physics teaching design in junior high school based on STEM education concept was used to carry out classroom teaching experiments in two classes of grade 9 in a middle school.In the process of teaching experiment research,two classes of junior high school students were tested by questionnaire on their STEM literacy,and the data from the questionnairewere scientifically processed and reasonably analyzed,so as to obtain the changes of their STEM literacy before and after the practical research.Finally,the paper analyzes and summarizes the results of this study,summarizes the experience and shortcomings of this study,as well as relevant improvement Suggestions,and provides reference for better integration of STEM education concept into junior middle school physics teaching.The author conducted a three-month physics teaching design and practice research in junior middle school based on STEM education philosophy.From the comparative analysis of students’ STEM literacy before and after the experimental class and the control class,as well as before and after the experimental class teaching practice,it can be seen that the experimental class and the control class have significantly improved students’ STEM literacy,with significant differences.Teaching practice shows that using STEM based education concept of junior middle school physics teaching design in classroom teaching practice,the junior middle school students of STEM ability obtained the very big enhancement,the STEM of junior high school students thinking more clearly,junior high school students got obvious change in his attitude of STEM,junior middle school students have a more profound understanding to STEM literacy,to STEM literacy at the same time pay more attention. |
