Mathematics anxiety has been paid more and more attention by scholars.It has been found that mathematics anxiety can cause students' abnormal emotion and behavior.There are quite a number of students in China who are anxious about mathematics,but mathematics in high school requires students to have higher logical thinking ability and reasoning ability,and it is more difficult for students to learn mathematics,it is very easy to lead to high school students mathematics anxiety phenomenon,therefore,the high school students of mathematics anxiety intervention research is very necessary.Positive Psychology,as a applied science that reveals human strengths and promotes the development of human potential,can help students alleviate depression,anxiety and other emotions.From the perspective of positive psychology,this study conducted a group Counseling Intervention Study on mathematics anxiety of senior high school students.The study recruited 98 self-rated math anxiety volunteers from the first grade of a high school in Xishui County.The 98 students were tested on the math anxiety scale.Based on the data and the suggestions of the class teacher,58 students were selected as subjects.Using the method of experimental design,the 58 students were divided into two groups,one group was the experimental group,the other group was the control group,each group of 29 people.The experimental group was given group counseling from the perspective of Positive Psychology for eight times,and the control group was arranged to read extra-curricular books together at the same time.After all the group counseling was over,the students in the two groups were tested again with the math anxiety scale,and some of the experimental group members were interviewed,to test the effectiveness and feasibility of the group counseling from the perspective of positive psychology in the intervention of high school students' math anxiety.Results:1.Before the intervention,there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the dimensions of Math anxiety.Therewas no significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the control group.The level of mathematics anxiety of the experimental group decreased significantly after the intervention,and the level of mathematics anxiety of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group,and the experimental group and the Control Group before and after the test scores of math anxiety there is a significant difference,including emotional anxiety,test anxiety dimensions of significant differences.2.In the warm and relaxed group atmosphere,the members of the experimental group have learned the positive mathematics attribution method,found their own mathematical advantages,mastered the good mathematics learning method,and are full of confidence in mathematics.Through the research,we can draw a conclusion: This group counseling based on the perspective of positive psychology can effectively alleviate the mathematics anxiety level of senior one students.
