Physics is a basic subject that studies the basic structure,interaction and motion law of the matter in nature.Physics Curriculum Standards for General High Schools(2017 Edition)clearly points out that physics should form a systematic research method and theoretical system.However,the knowledge of many junior and senior high school students is fragmented and the concept system is not complete.Based on this,more and more attention has been paid to the study of learning progression.Mechanics is the foundation of physics,and acceleration is the core of mechanics.This concept plays an important role in kinematics and dynamics,building a bridge between force and motion.Therefore,we take the concept of "acceleration" as the clue and the concept related to acceleration as the main line to build a learning progression system,hoping to help teachers better understand the situation of students,so as to optimize the teaching process and promote students' learning.This study takes "acceleration" as the core concept to construct a learning progression system.The research contents and results mainly include the following five parts:In the first part,important concepts related to acceleration are identified.Under the guidance of Physics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011 Edition)and Physics Curriculum Standards for General Senior High School(2017 Edition),this paper takes "acceleration" as the clue to sort out the important concepts related to it in junior and senior high school physics,and preliminarily screen the important concepts related to acceleration.Combined with the analysis of the national examination paper I in the recent five years,the important concepts to be studied are further determined.The second part,based on the textbook and curriculum standard,constructs the learning progression hypothesis of important concepts related to acceleration.The third part is the questionnaire survey.Based on the selected important concepts,a questionnaire was developed to investigate students' actual understanding of the important concepts by referring to the test materials of the corresponding stages.The questionnaire was evaluated by using the Rasch model,and the unreasonable items in the questionnaire were modified and deleted.The fourth part,the construction of learning progression navigation chart.Convert students' understanding level of important concepts into item difficulty value,the learning progression hypothesis is adjusted with the aid of the item difficulty value.The students' mastery of acceleration is divided into five levels,and the students should reach the corresponding learning level in different stages.Based on this,a learning progression navigation diagram of the concept of acceleration is constructed.The students' learning progression mechanism model is used to explain the learning progression navigation diagram,and the progression mechanism of the important concept of acceleration is further explained.The fifth part is teaching practice.Select Newton's second law section,teaching design according to the learning progression navigation chart,and carry out teaching practice,compare its teaching effect with the traditional teaching,further verify the learning progression navigation chart,and get the advantages of teaching according to the learning progression.Finally,the corresponding teaching suggestions are given based on the model of learning progression in order to provide reference for teachers.To sum up,this paper makes an in-depth study of the learning progression with acceleration as the core concept,obtains learning progression navigation diagram about acceleration,and uses the student learning progression mechanism model to explain.Due to learning progression is the presumption of the core concepts of the actual level of students,and on this basis,teachers can understand students should reach on the stage of knowledge level,formulate appropriate teaching strategies,and to properly evaluate students actual knowledge level and the way of thinking,which helps to improve teaching scheme in time,improve the quality of education.
