To help students through the college entrance examination test question has a comprehensive and innovative guide selection,able to adapt to rapidly changing information age for their future and solve challenging problems in the process of human development,meet the national demand for innovative talents,we learn from this stage need to consciously cultivate the students' decisionmaking ability,innovation consciousness and practice ability,In order to help students solve complex and challenging problems in the future and meet the requirements of the curriculum standard,students should be trained to develop advanced thinking skills in analysis,evaluation and creativity.But the problem is the source of thinking,quality plays an important role in development of students' thinking,fragmentation,lack of hierarchy is a student in one of the reasons for low order thinking ability level,therefore,think about how to design for a gradation,logical problem chains,teaching content problem cause students to think about,stimulate students' learning initiative,Consciously cultivating students' higher-order thinking ability has certain exploration space and significance.Based on the above status quo,the research objectives are proposed.The specific research process includes the following four parts.The first part is the introduction and the basic theory research.Based on the research background,by consulting and sorting out the research status of "problem chain" and "higher-order thinking ability" at home and abroad,the author decided to promote the development of students' higher-order thinking ability to conduct teaching design and practice as the research content.In order to determine the research scope,the concepts of "problem chain" and "higher order thinking ability" are defined,and the enlightenment of the three theories to the research is illustrated with the guidance of zone of proximal development,constructivism theory and Bloom's taxonomy theory of educational goals.The second part is the theoretical research on the integration of problem chain and higher order thinking ability.Firstly,the design principles and types of problem chain are proposed to promote the development of higher order thinking ability.The author thinks that the design of the problem chain to promote the development of students' higher-order thinking ability should follow the principles of situation,appropriateness,level,inspiration and openness.It also illustrates the effects of comparative,transference,progressive,speculative and exploratory question chains on the development of higherorder thinking ability,and develops and designs the cases of five types of question chains.Secondly,it puts forward strategies to promote the development of three aspects of higher order thinking ability,namely,to determine the teaching objectives,design the question verbs and the question chain with the guidance of the action verbs at each level of higher order thinking ability.The third part is teaching design and practice.The fourth elective content of chemistry is selected to design teaching cases under the guidance of theoretical research in the second part.Traditional teaching is adopted in the control class,and problem chain teaching is adopted in the experimental class.The chemistry test paper of advanced thinking ability and the questionnaire of advanced thinking ability were designed from three dimensions of analytical ability,evaluation ability and creative ability as evaluation tools.Data were collected from the control class and the experimental class at the same time after teaching practice.The fourth part is the data processing and analysis of teaching practice results.SPSS26.0 was used to process the data of pre and post-test scores of control class and experimental class,the scores of the chemistry test of advanced thinking ability and the questionnaire of advanced thinking ability.The results of the chemistry test paper show that there is no significant difference in the chemistry scores between the control class and the experimental class,but the chemistry scores of the experimental class are slightly better than those of the control class.The results of the higher order thinking ability questionnaire also show that the higher order thinking ability of the experimental class is slightly higher than that of the control class.In conclusion,it is concluded that teaching with problem chain plays a certain role in promoting the development of students' higher-order thinking ability,and also contributes to the improvement of students' chemistry learning performance.
