In middle school's education,history textbooks are important classroom learning resources for teachers and students.Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the compilation of textbooks has attracted great attention as a state power.Knowing the history and loving the party,knowing the history and loving the country,the study of the history of the country plays an important role in enhancing the students' sense of national identity,ethnic identity and cultural identity,and cultivating citizens with patriotic feelings and a sense of social responsibility.In 2017,my country's junior high school history textbooks were put into use nationwide.The history of civic education in the United States is profound and effective,and civics courses,especially history courses,as compulsory courses in high schools are essential for the implementation of civic education.This article intends to use the case study method and the comparative study method to conduct a "top-down" study of the American National Social Studies Curriculum Standards,Kansas State History Curriculum Standards,Lawrence High School History Curriculum System and the 15-year-old McDougall Littel edition of American history textbooks.For the study,take the content of "The Great Depression and Roosevelt's New Deal" as an example,and conduct a detailed comparison and analysis of the text support system,text system,and after-school system in the lesson of "The Roosevelt's New Deal",a historical textbook compiled by our junior high school.First,using the content of the"Great Depression and Roosevelt's New Deal" in American history textbooks as the starting point,"seeing the big from the small",explore how the United States permeated civic education in the compilation of textbooks,and provided reference suggestions for the compilation of history textbooks in our country.Second,based on the in-depth research and comparison of the content of the "Great Depression and Roosevelt's New Deal",in order to obtain a new research perspective,it also put forward teaching suggestions for the Roosevelt New Deal,and at the same time,to achieve the secondary development of the unified edition of historical textbooks.Teachers all put forward constructive opinions.
