With the development of multimedia information technology and artificial intelligence technology,online education has developed rapidly,which makes online learning become the mainstream learning method in the information age.It breaks the geographical restrictions under the traditional teaching model,and enables students to learn from a distance to get rich learning resources.However,it is precisely because of the spatial separation between teachers and students in online learning that teachers cannot grasp the learning situation of students in real time,and students are prone to negative learning tendencies.Therefore,improving the quality of students' online learning is the key to promoting the development of online education in colleges and universities.And learning engagement can be used as an important indicator to measure the quality of students' learning,and it plays a decisive role in the evaluation of students' learning.How about the learning engagement of students in online learning?What factors will affect students' learning engagement,and how do they affect it?This paper focuses on the above issues,analyzes the influencing factors of college students' online learning engagement,and puts forward strategies to improve students' online learning engagement,further promote students' learning engagement and improve the quality of online learning.At the same time,it provides theoretical and practical reference for teachers to carry out online teaching work.First of all,this research analyzes and combs related research on online learning and learning engagement,extracts factors that affect students' online learning engagement from many aspects,and further determines the six research variables of this research through interviews and expert consultations.Constructed a model of influencing factors of college students' online learning engagement with teacher support,course structure,perceived technical usefulness,satisfaction of basic psychological needs,academic self-efficacy,and online learning,engagement as research variables,and put forward research hypotheses.At the same time,the maturity scale was selected and adapted according to the research variables to form the questionnaire of this study,and the pre-test was conducted to improve the questionnaire.According to the research content,this study selected students with online learning experience from a nonnal university in Hubei as the research object,and collected a total of 612 valid sample data.In the study.SPSS24.0 software was used to carry out descriptive statistical analysis and difference test of the data.With the help of SmartPLS3.2.8 software,the model fit degree,structure model path,and mediation effect were analyzed.Finally,according to the research results and interview content,this paper summarizes the influencing mechanism of college students' online learning engagement,and puts forward corresponding suggestions and countermeasures.The results of this study show that:(1)In online learning,students' background characteristics(gender,grade,major,number of online courses and online learning duration)have no influence on learning engagement except for major.(2)In online learning,the factors that have significant positive and direct influence on students' learning engagement are ranked from the largest to the smallest in order of their influence degree,which are basic psychological need satisfaction,teacher support,course structure,perceived technical usefulness,and academic self-efficacy.(3)In online learning,teacher support,course structure,and perceived technical usefulness all have a significant positive impact on the satisfaction of college students' basic psychological needs.(4)In online learning,teacher support,course structure and perceived technical usefulness all have a significant positive impact on college students' academic self-efficacy.(5)Basic psychological need satisfaction and academic self-efficacy have a partial mediating effect on the influence of teacher support on online learning engagement.(6)Basic psychological need satisfaction and academic self-efficacy have a partial mediating effect on the course structure's influence on online learning engagement.(7)Basic psychological need satisfaction and academic self-efficacy had a partial mediating effect on the impact of perceived technology usefulness on online learning engagement.Based on the research results,and with reference to related research in this field,the following suggestions are put forward from the four aspects of students,teachers,online learning courses,and platform technology to improve college students' online learning engagement:(1)Deeply understand the needs of students and enhance their motivation for learning;(2)Design learning activities flexibly to stimulate students' self-efficacy;(3)Provide multi-dimensional support services to establish a good teacher-student relationship;(4)Optimize the online course structure to promote students' deep learning;(5)Strengthen the support of information technology to enhance the learning experience of students.
