Physical conceptual coherence means that students' understanding of physical concepts does not change with the change of external conditions,it is the key to measure students' understanding of physical concepts.Physics concepts and laws play an important role through the whole process of high school physics learning.Due to high abstractness of physics concepts,students' understanding of physics concepts is usually only at a shallow level,so most students often do not have the physics conceptual coherence.Based on the above,it is necessary to study the level of conceptual coherence of high school students when they answer questions,and to conduct corresponding teaching intervention based on the purpose of improving students' conceptual coherence.This paper defines conceptual coherence based on relevant domestic and foreign studies,and divides physical conceptual coherence into representational coherence,contextual coherence and conceptual framework capability,combined with the research of Savinainen and Jouni Viiri et al.In this paper,a total of 361 high school students from two high schools in Shandong Province were selected as the research subjects.Firstly,the data of the Force Concept Inventory(FCI)were collected,and the FCI was divided into five main thematic dimensions by exploratory factor analysis.Then,the Representational Coherence Scale,the Contextual Coherence Scale and the Conceptual Framework Competence Scale were developed by using FCI as the original questions and combining with the conceptual coherence framework.After repeated modification and prediction test,the scale was tested on high school students.Then under our way of encoding and scoring,we respectively explores the ability level of the representational coherence,the contextual coherence and conceptual framework competence,and study the students' performance in different context and different representation form,finally analyzes the factors such as gender and mathematics achievement effect on students' conceptual coherence level.Through the analysis,we found that in terms of representational coherence,the senior high school students are generally in the middle level;In terms of contextual coherence and conceptual framework ability,high school students are generally at a poor level.Based on the results,we construct the conceptual coherence level triangle model for high school students.Finally,the author put forward some teaching suggestions from three dimensions to improve students' conceptual ability.In the above ways,we hope to truly help students to achieve a deep understanding of physical concepts,form the coherence of physical concepts.
