The Chinese government proposed that establishing moral integrity in cultivation should be the fundamental task of education,which requires giving full play to the moral function of various disciplines.Political courses are the backbone of school moral education,while other disciplines are an important supplement.Chinese discipline,due to its own characteristics,has unique advantages and plays a particularly significant role in moral education.As the basis of Chinese teaching,textbook is not only an important carrier of Chinese knowledge,but also contains rich moral contents.When producing the Unified Edition of Chinese textbooks for Primary School,editors adhere to the core value of establishing moral integrity in cultivation,and integrate the rich and diverse elements of moral education into textbooks.These selected articles,with their imperceptible influences,are aimed to lay a "spiritual foundation" for students’ healthy development.The key to enhance the effectiveness of moral education in Chinese subject lies in improving teachers’ ability to grasp teaching materials and discover the moral elements.In view of this,focusing on the selected articles of the 12-volume Chinese textbooks for primary school,this study formulates the analysis list of moral elements,and makes a comprehensive research on it.Meanwhile,the relevant teaching strategies for teachers to implement moral education are also presented.First of all,this paper explains the status and value of Chinese textbooks in moral education.As an important teaching tool,Chinese textbooks not only carry the basic knowledge of the discipline,but also contain the mainstream moral norms and values of the society,which is helpful for students to improve their Chinese ability as well as their own personality.Therefore,clarifying the status of Chinese textbooks will help teachers to deepen their understanding of textbooks and improve the effectiveness of moral education in Chinese subjects.Secondly,develop the analysis catalogue of moral elements in selected articles.By referring to the expositions of domestic scholars on the moral contents,and based on the moral requirements posed by four official documents,this paper classifies the moral elements into three dimensions,namely,"man and self","man and society" and "man and nature".Then,according to the actual situation of the selection,the final version of analysis catalogue is formulated.Thirdly,on the basis of the analysis table,this paper shows the frequency,mode and specific content of moral elements,trying to present them in an all-round way.Through detailed analysis,the conclusions are as follows.In the frequency of presentation,the three dimensions mentioned above are similar,which reflects the scientificity and rationality of textbook arrangement.However,in terms of each dimension,there are significant differences in the frequency of specific elements.In the way of presentation,the elements are presented in various ways,which can be concluded into 5 types.In the presentation of the contents,the textbook writing group explains the different elements of moral education through rich and varied text selection.They try to help students form healthy thoughts and noble morality through the influence of rich elements of moral education.Finally,based on the results analysis,and combined with some typical teaching clips,this paper puts forward relevant suggestions for teachers.To a great extent,whether the moral function of Chinese discipline can be brought into full play depends on teachers’ consciousness and ability.The corresponding teaching strategies are from two aspects,namely,concept and practice,with the purpose of better realizing the moral value of selected texts and Chinese subject.At the conceptual level,teachers should understand the idea of "people-oriented" and "establishing moral integrity in cultivation" deeply.And at the specific practical level,teachers should not only appropriately add some moral elements when teaching,but also constantly innovate the ways of moral education,thus to actively and effectively transmit the moral elements and implement the moral education.
