Nowadays,learning progression theory is a research hotspot in international education,it has been widely used in teaching theory and practice research in various disciplines.Based on the theory of learning progression,this paper takes "acid,alkali and salt",the most important part of junior middle school chemistry,as the research object,and carries out the teaching design and practice research of "acid,alkali and salt" based on "learning progression theory".In the whole research process,we mainly use the literature research method,experimental method and educational statistics method.This research mainly did the following work:Basic research part,this part mainly includes the research review of "learning progression" theory and " acid-alkali-salt " part,defining some related concepts and determining the theoretical basis of this research,then the overall research route was worked out.Core research part,this part is the core of the paper,the main research content is to build " acid-alkali-salt " learning progression framework,starting from the five components of the learning progression.Then,based on the hierarchy model of Scientific Concept Development,the advanced hierarchy of " acid-alkali-salt " is constructed,which is divided into four parts: fact,mapping,correlation and integration,to lay a good foundation for the later teaching design.Practical research part,Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth.The teaching design of “acid-alkali-salt” based on the “learning progression theory” is divided into seven class hours,then conduct teaching practice intervention in one of the classes brought by the researcher,and set up a control class for comparison.Finally,through SPSS software to analyze the results of the experiment to draw the conclusions.Applying the theory of " learning progression" to the teaching design of " acidalkali-salt " has a certain promotion effect on the improvement of students' thinking ability,especially for the students with medium learning ability,advanced teaching can help these students to keep up with the teachers,deepen their understanding of concepts and cultivate their advanced thinking mode.Also,this study provides a "Acid-BaseSalt" teaching ideas and methods for first-line chemistry teachers.
