Learning engagement refers to the level of time and energy that learners invest in their studies.Learning engagement not only reflects a state of students’ concentration and hard work,but also an important indicator to explain academic achievement,learning process and development,and even the quality of education.Mindfulness is to pay attention to and perceive everything in the present purposefully and consciously.Mindfulness is closely related to emotion and behavior,and has a positive impact on the learning process related skills(such as attention,self-regulation,stress management).In view of this,this study aims to explore the intervention effect of mindfulness training on learning engagement of high school students on the basis of understanding the status quo and relationship between mindfulness and learning engagement of high school students.This study mainly includes two parts.One is to explore the present situation and relationship of mindfulness and learning engagement among 580 high school students by using Wang Sisi’s "learning engagement scale" and Deng,Liu,Rodriguez and Xia’s revised "mindfulness five factor scale".Based on Study 1 and Study 2,40% of the students in two homogeneous classes were selected,one as the experimental group and the other as the control group.The experimental group was given mindfulness training for 8 times,and the control group was given discussion according to the set theme after daily evening self-study.After all the intervention,according to the comparison of the two groups of data,the intervention effect of mindfulness training on learning engagement of senior one students was analyzed.The conclusions are as follows:(1)There are significant differences in gender and class leaders,but there are no significant differences among different schools.(2)The mindfulness level of high school students in Zhangjiakou area is above the middle level.There are significant differences in the non reaction dimension of experience among high school students in different schools,but there are no significant differences in gender and class cadres.(3)Mindfulness has a significant positive correlation with learning engagement,and the prediction degree of mindfulness on learning engagement is 22%.(4)Mindfulness training can effectively improve the level of learning engagement of high school students.
