In the stage of compulsory education,junior high school music is also an important subject.Music education in junior middle school is mainly divided into conventional music curriculum and extracurricular activity education.Extracurricular activity education is mostly carried out in the form of associations,and the development of music associations is also a way to implement aesthetic education.With the gradual improvement of music curriculum standards,core literacy has been incorporated into music curriculum standards.In the new curriculum standard,core literacy is recognized as the embodiment of educational policy and the weather vane of all disciplines.In the Music Curriculum Standard(2017 edition),the basic concept based on core literacy is clearly put forward.The core literacy of music discipline is divided into three aspects:aesthetic perception,cultural understanding and artistic expression.As the music discipline is included in the high school entrance examination,schools and parents are paying more and more attention to the subject of music.In the regular music class,although teachers have integrated the core literacy into the classroom,in the extracurricular music community activities of junior high school students in the stage of compulsory education,whether the core literacy is implemented and whether the students really have the music core literacy,it still needs to be further improved.Music community activities are not only students’ extracurricular entertainment activities,but also bear the important task of cultivating students’ music core literacy.It can enrich students’emotional experience,cultivate students’ positive and optimistic attitude towards life,improve students’ aesthetic ability of music,cultivate sentiment,cultivate students’ respect for art,and let students understand the multiculturalism of the world.This paper is based on the research on the current situation of the development of music associations in junior middle school under the core literacy,and strives to study the current situation of music societies in Shuyang Xiuyuan Middle School through questionnaires,interviews and on-the-spot investigation.The following problems are found:students’emotional expression ability needs to be strengthened;students’ cultural understanding behind songs is not deep enough;students’ aesthetic perception of music is weak.After discovering a series of problems in the school music community activities,the author furth puts forward the teaching strategies to improve the students’ music literacy in the school music community.
