A Study On Appearance Anxiety Of Douyin College Students

With the rapid development of network information,appearance anxiety seems to have become an important issue for college students.In the past two years,there have been more and more studies on appearance anxiety in academic circles.At the moment,researches on appearance anxiety mainly focus on the superficial stage of appearance anxiety,such as its causes,manifestations,influencing factors and so on.However,there is little research on this topic from the psychological angle of appearance anxiety subject "human".The author thinks that "human",as the subject of appearance anxiety,is the key to solving the problem.Therefore,this paper studies the topic of appearance anxiety accelerated by the use of Tik Tok in combination with psychological theories such as ideal beautification,internalization and social comparison,by using questionnaire survey,participant observation and statistical analysis.The subject of the study was a group of university students.This paper studies the accelerated appearance anxiety of college students induced by Tik Tok short video platform.The text has five parts.The first chapter explores the cause of appearance anxiety in the context of the times.The origin of appearance anxiety is closely related to social transformation,social culture,economic development and other environmental factors.The second chapter analyzes the reasons why Tik Tok is the favorite short video of college students from its general situation,unique advantages and product features.The third chapter analyzes the reasons why college students use Tik Tok to accelerate their facial appearance anxiety from a psychological perspective,and finds that ideal internalization and upward social comparison may play a role in the influence of Tik Tok use and facial appearance anxiety.Therefore,I propose six research hypotheses and establish a research intermediary model.In chapter four,we verify the hypothesis that ideal internalization as an intermediary factor and upward social comparison as a moderating factor do influence the dither tone and appearance anxiety in different degrees.Finally,the author puts forward some effective suggestions to reduce the anxiety of college students' appearance,and tries to correct the distortion of college students' esthetic concept caused by Tik Tok.We hope that college students can use social media correctly and look at the issue of appearance dialectically.
