With the deepening of curriculum reform and the goal of establishing moral education,more and more scholars and front-line teachers have joined in the research to explore how to effectively cultivate and improve students' core literacy in the actual classroom.In this paper,we take the teaching of "Number Series" in the senior high school review round as an example,and conduct a research on the teaching of high school mathematics units based on the core literacy of mathematics,so as to explore effective ways to develop the core literacy of mathematics.Firstly,through the analysis of the questionnaire,we found that:(1)teachers did not know the core literacy of mathematics well enough;(2)teachers recognized the importance of developing students' core literacy in mathematics;(3)teachers did not know the unit teaching well enough;(4)teachers did not know the importance of the unit teaching well enough;(5)teachers did not implement the unit teaching hard enough.Then,we analyzed the results of the questionnaire survey and completed a series of preliminary work on the unit teaching design,including the analysis of teaching elements,teaching contents and the analysis of the articulation of the college entrance examination,and then created a unit teaching design of "Number Series" based on the development of students' core literacy in mathematics for the senior revision round,and carried out teaching practice.Finally,after the unit was completed,students were given questionnaires to investigate the development of students' core literacies,and post-test results and test papers were used to analyze and reflect on the effectiveness of the unit.Based on the above practical effects,this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)unit teaching is conducive to helping students sort out and construct a complete knowledge framework,reducing the phenomenon of students' excellent performance in class tests but poor performance in unit tests;(2)unit teaching is conducive to improving students' enthusiasm for independent learning,enhancing their self-confidence,and promoting their performance in the subject;(3)unit teaching can enhance students' ability to apply the knowledge they have learned to solve practical problems,thus promoting the cultivation and development of students' subject core literacy.
