The goal of science education is to improve citizens' overall scientific literacy.Scientific literacy includes the ability to apply scientific knowledge,the ability to clarify problems,and the ability to understand the natural world and apply the laws of nature,and the ability to draw conclusions based on evidence,which is also one of the goals of core literacy education.School science education is not only to let students master scientific knowledge,but also should develop their scientific demonstration ability,with the knowledge and scientific ability to understand the world on the basis of knowledge and scientific ability,and can express their views on scientific issues,make reasonable choices.Therefore,the cultivation of scientific demonstration ability is an important task in science education.With social science issues(SSI)as the theme,the design of teaching activities,so that students based on their biological knowledge,independent collection of evidence,based on evidence to make claims,refute the challenges of others.This kind of teaching activity can not only help students cultivate scientific attitude,but also help students to cultivate scientific thinking,the cultivation of scientific habits,which is the same as the current need to cultivate students' core qualities,so the application of SSI in biology teaching has a certain positive significance.This study first interviewed a number of front-line teachers,found that although most teachers do not know much about SSI,but agree with the use of SSI in teaching behavior,but also put forward the development of such courses have the following difficulties: tight schedule,teaching resources are not suitable,teachers' pre-school preparation requirements are higher.In terms of cultivating students' ability of scientific argumentation,although most teachers cultivate consciously,most students have weak ability of scientific argumentation.Secondly,in order to improve the scientific demonstration ability of high school students,SSI as the carrier of scientific knowledge,applied to high school biology classroom,combed the three principles of social science topic selection.Combined with the interviews with first-line teachers,SSI data mining was carried out on the biology teaching materials of the human teaching version,which provided reference for the teaching practice of front-line teachers.Then,the teaching strategy of cultivating the ability of scientific demonstration is introduced: proposition table strategy,role-playing strategy,project learning strategy.On this basis,three teaching cases are designed and practiced.Before and after the practice,students were tested and tested from the two aspects of argumentation tendency and demonstration ability,and it was found that there was a significant difference between the tendency of the control group and the experimental group after teaching practice,and the ability to challenge was significantly improved.Finally,according to the classroom effect analysis,the paper puts forward the suggestion of using SSI to prepare,implement the process and evaluate after class in the three stages,which provides reference and reference for the first-line teachers to apply SSI to cultivate the scientific demonstration ability of high school students.
