With the deepening of China's curriculum reform,teaching based on real situations has become an important initiative to develop students' subject core literacy and cultivate future talents.The chemical production situation embodies the disciplinary characteristics of chemistry,which is a typically real-life situation that reflects chemistry as a service to the development and progress of human society.It creates a teaching environment in which cognition,behavior and emotion are interacted and developed in a coordinated way.Teaching based on chemical production situation can deepen students' understanding and mastery of knowledge,improve their ability to apply what they have learned,and promote their recognition of the disciplinary values of chemistry,which is an effective way to cultivate the core literacy of chemistry.This research takes constructivist learning theory,contextual cognitive theory,the contextual view in humanistic learning theory,and the STSE philosophy as its theoretical foundation.The literature research method was used to summarize,organize,and analyze domestic and foreign studies related to the integration of chemical production materials into the chemistry curriculum and contextual teaching.It was found that all these studies affirmed the teaching value of chemical production situation,but fewer of them explored its application forms,application strategies,and application ideas in chemistry teaching.Curriculum standards,textbooks and high school examination questions,as essential references for current chemistry teaching,contain a lot of chemical production situation materials.In this research,chemical production situation materials in General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition Revised 2020),Chemistry Textbook for Senior High Schools(compulsory)published by People's Education Edition in2019 and "National Volume of Chemistry College Entrance Examination" from 2019 to 2021 are taken as the research objects.The study analyzed the quantity,characteristics,and presentation and other contents of chemical production situation materials using the content analysis method,and it was found that chemical production situation materials play an important role in the contextual composition of curriculum standard,the knowledge structure of textbooks,and the evaluation of the college entrance examination.Combined with the survey method,questionnaires and interviews were conducted with students and teachers respectively for issues concerning contextual teaching and chemical production situation.Teachers and students have an affirmative attitude toward contextual teaching and appreciate the positive effects of chemical production situation on developing cognition,enhancing ability and penetrating emotion.However,chemical production situation is not used frequently in practical teaching and the effect of contextual teaching is hardly satisfactory.Based on such a condition,this research conducted an in-depth research on the application of chemical production situation in teaching elemental compounds,looking for the appropriate materials and application methods for chemical production situation,and proposing the application strategies and teaching procedures of chemical production situation in teaching elemental compounds.It designed two teaching cases for the new class "From Bauxite to Aluminum Alloy" and the review class "Industrial Sulfuric Acid Production",and carried out the teaching practice with the action research method,through classroom performance evaluation,paper-and-pencil test,after-class interview and other forms,the practical effects of the integration of "teaching,learning and evaluation" demonstrated.On the basis of chemical production situation,practical teaching achieved excellent teaching results,which was supported by teachers and students,and provided benign references for the teaching of elemental compounds.The research has shown that teaching based on chemical production situation is beneficial in developing students' higher-level thinking ability,promoting deep learning,cultivating core literacy in chemistry,and promoting the disciplinary values of chemistry.Therefore,it is of practical importance to explore the application of chemical production situation in chemistry teaching.
