With the swift development of artificial intelligence and big data,data has become an inexhaustible driving force for economy and society.Data literacy has become one of the basic literacies for people's survival and development in this intelligent era,and the cultivation of data literacy has gradually attracted attention.The development of programming education likes a raging fire,and Python programming,as a compulsory content of high school information technology curriculum,provides a new practical place for cultivating data literacy.The main goal of this paper is to develop data literacy among high school students.Firstly,by sorting out the status of data literacy models and cultivation practices,this paper summarizes the main indicators,and compiles the "Data Literacy Questionnaire for High School Students".Secondly,the typical process of problembased learning is summarized.Combined with the DIKW model,a problem-based learning mode for the cultivation of data literacy is constructed.And this mode is used for Python programming in second chapter named "Algorithms and Program Implementation".Then,a 2-month instructional comparison practice is carried out.In the experimental class and the control class,problem-based learning practice and traditional teaching practice for cultivation of data literacy are implemented respectively.By comparing the data literacy level,the completion of class works,and their test scores,combined with the Python programming satisfaction survey in the experimental class and the interview,the results are as follows:(1)The teaching mode constructed in this paper can significantly improve students' data literacy;(2)The teaching mode constructed in this paper can promote students to effectively master Python programming knowledge;(3)The reliability and validity of the questionnaire compiled in this paper are great,and it can be a tool to measure the data literacy level of high school students;(4)Python programming course can significantly improve students' data literacy.
