In the rapidly changing technological era,communication technology has brought increasingly diverse communication methods,which are affecting the communication quality and needs of people’s daily life and work.Supporting more users and a wider range of multimedia services has become a major challenge for communication technology.How to efficiently design and apply software and hardware platforms to achieve advanced communication technology to meet the needs of users is the primary problem solved by engineering research and development.Firstly,the thesis analyzes the research status and development trend of engineering research combining formal language description methods and software-hardware collaborative design.According to the basic idea of the software-hardware platform to realize the communication process,focused on the research of the finite state machine modeling method of the software-hardware collaborative system and the communication mechanism of the specification and description language(SDL),the thesis proposes a software and hardware co-design method based on "event trigger" and "finite state machine".Secondly,in order to achieve comprehensive indicators such as high real-time performance,low complexity,and low power consumption,through the study of the characteristics of software and hardware conversion,the thesis builds a finite state machine model shared by hardware and software,and analyzes the communication mechanism of SDL system.Combined with the interconnection relationships and processing sequence of modules and modules in the communication system,the integrated design and implementation of the soft core SDL module communication architecture and the hard core SDL module communication architecture are completed.The communication between software and hardware modules is very important to the system,by studying the system architecture of software and hardware collaboration,the thesis designs a software-hardware interworking architecture based on shared storage to accurately realize the signal interaction between software and hardware modules.In order to measure the cost of communication between modules,the thesis puts forward the concept of the cost of communication between software and hardware,indicating the impact of different software and hardware interaction methods on the communication transmission delay.Finally,the thesis completed the test of the communication software and hardware collaborative architecture on the hardware platform,mainly including the soft core SDL module architecture,the hard core SDL module communication and software-hardware interworking architecture.The results verify the correctness of the communication softwarehardware collaborative architecture,showing that software or hardware modules can communicate with each other through the same SDL mechanism,and the software and hardware modules can perform signal sharing and interaction through interruption.At the same time,the thesis tests the communication cost under different soft-hard interaction methods,and obtains the general calculation formula of the communication cost of the software-hardware collaborative architecture,which lays the foundation for the optimization of the soft-hard collaborative system.In the actual engineering research and development process,each module can be implemented arbitrarily in software or hardware,and communication system is implemented with optimal performance by analyzing the complexity and duration of the modules,while planniing the distribution and interaction of the software and hardware modules.
