| Based on the theory and framework of international news flow research,this paper studies interprovincial news flow in China and analyzes the data reported by local media in 31 provinces and cities（including municipalities directly under the central government and autonomous regions）.By using the social network analysis method and the regional geographic network analysis method,this paper analyzes the structural characteristics of the network of news flow of two different media types,namely the daily newspaper with the nature of party and government and the evening newspaper with the nature of marketization,and probes into their formation mechanism and influencing factors.Finally,the paper discusses the enlightening significance of the network structure characteristics of inter-provincial news flow to the optimization of China’s media industry structure.The characteristics of network of interprovincial news flow are as follows: the network structure of news flow is different from the traditional geographical pattern of the eastern and western regions,showing the characteristics of the eastern region,the central region and the western region.The two newspapers have different report orientations and different network of news flow.The density,cohesion and transmissibility of evening newspapers are higher than those of daily newspapers,and they are more efficient in transmitting information.The power role of the provinces and cities in the daily news is mostly the role of the publisher and the forwarding,and the role of the recipients in the evening news is more provinces and cities.The negative news flow of evening news is higher than that of daily news;The subgroup distribution of daily newspaper and evening newspaper has no obvious geographical connection,only jiangsu,Shanghai and zhejiang Yangtze river delta have maintained a subgroup.In developing the provincial news flow controlled by administrative power is relatively obvious,the market-oriented newspaper news flow advantage yet fully manifests,in the short term is difficult to make full use of its advantages in information age news flow fast interaction and dynamic flow,balanced and mutually beneficial in the future need to strengthen the media system based on technical innovation and market orientation.The influencing factors of network of news flow include: GDP of economic development level shows obvious positive correlation,weak correlation with population,and negative correlation with geographical distance,that is,the closer the distance is,the more reported.In the three kinds of correlation comparison,the correlation of evening newspaper is stronger than that of daily newspaper. |
