With the continuous pursuit of more convenient and fast life,coin circulation automation technology came into being and is commonly used in daily life,such as: unmanned ticket bus,game machine,vending machine,etc.are all typical applications.At present,the circulation of coins has greatly increased,especially the financial sector and bus companies have to sort out a large number of coins every day.Existing coin identification and detection devices have more or less deficiencies in hardware or software,resulting in higher identification device costs,lower recognition accuracy,and lower recognition speed.Therefore,it is of great value and significance to carry out research on coin recognition and detection systems with high recognition accuracy and high recognition rate.This article first introduces the basic principle of the system detection scheme,uses CIS(contact image sensor)combined with eddy current sensor technology to identify and forge coins,expounds the relevant knowledge and working principles of image sensors and eddy current sensors,and determines The type of image sensor and eddy current sensor and the detection method of eddy current sensor are described.Then from the analysis of the software,the overall program flow is clarified,the light and dark output compensation algorithm is introduced in detail,and the difference between the uncompensated and compensated coin images is compared.For the coin diameter recognition function,the effects of several commonly used edge detection algorithms are compared.On this basis,a faster and more accurate edge detection algorithm is independently innovated,and the feasibility of the algorithm is confirmed.The least square method is used to fit the eddy current eigenvalues of coins to reduce the misrecognition rate of coins.Finally,based on the above research,this paper builds a set of hardware platforms that can meet the software functional requirements.Through the test experiments on the actual system,the reliability of the image compensation algorithm,the coin diameter algorithm and the eddy current characteristic value fitting algorithm is confirmed.The recognition accuracy of the system is as high as 99%,and the recognition speed reaches 1000 per minute.The experimental results show that the coin recognition and detection system designed in this paper can accurately realize coin recognition and forgery.Compared with other detection devices in the industry,the accuracy and rate have been greatly improved,which has a positive impact on the research of domestic coin sorting systems.At the same time,it also has a positive impact on the promotion and popularization of domestic coins.
