Research On The Image Shaping Of Xinjiang By Foreign Exchange Reports

As the core area of the silk road economic belt。Xinjiang is attracting increasing attention from China and even the world.As an important part of Xinjiang’s soft power,a good image of Xinjiang can promote Xinjiang’s political。economic,cultural and social development,thus shaping a good image of China and improving China’s comprehensive national strength and international influence.News reports can shape the image of Xinjiang,and the study of Xinjiang’s foreign exchange reports is an important part of the study of Xinjiang’s image,which is the purpose of this paper.News frame is a fixed cognitive frame for news media and journalists to select and report news information.It can help journalists to make a quick judgment and choice on a vast sea of news information.Based on the news frame theory,this paper analyzes how to build the image of Xinjiang from three levels: macro,medium and micro.This article selects the news office of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China website in the "local heralded" Xinjiang under the channel of the reports of foreign exchange from 2015 to 2019 using the content analysis method,from a macro level(title,issues),medium level(length,type,distribution chart,source),and micro level(news sources and orientation)to answer the following questions:How did the media use the news reporting framework to shape the image of Xinjiang?What is the image of Xinjiang? What are the problems in reporting on foreign exchange activities?Based on the analysis of the contents of Xinjiang’s foreign exchange reports,the conclusion is drawn: Xinjiang’s foreign exchange reports have shaped the image of Xinjiang;However,due to the deviation of the report and the rigid content of the report,it has a certain impact on the image of Xinjiang.Suggestions: improve the quality of Xinjiang’s foreign exchange reports,improve the means of communication,and further promote the soft power construction of Xinjiang from the following three aspects: improving the influence of mass media on foreign communication,establishing the tree-shaped information integration model of interest content production,and constructing Xinjiang’s foreign cultural exchange system with the concept of cultural communication.
