Research And Implementation Of Tor Directory Service

Due to the continuous globalization of the Internet,people around the world enjoy the convenience brought by the Internet in their lives,online communication and shopping have become within reach,and the flow of goods is becoming more and more frequent.However,with the rapid development of the Internet,various security issues have followed,such as the problem of endless information leakage,and the private information is being sold unscrupulously at marked prices,which has caused great damage to network security and personal privacy.The Onion Router(Tor)provides users a good anonymous communication service,both the client and the server are encrypted in the Tor hidden service,which achieves a security communication theoretically.Nevertheless,the problems of traceability and information leakage in the hidden network still exist.In order to ensure the anonymity of the user,the author studies the communication storage mechanism of the hidden service directory and established Tor Based Autonomous Directory Service(Tor-ADS)to improve the independence and scalability of the Tor.This paper studies the directory service in the Tor anonymous network,which consists of the directory authority and the hidden service directory.There are ten directory authorities designed by Tor which refers to the information definition of the nodes in the Tor network,the transmission protocol rules of Tor,etc.The hidden service directory mainly includes broadcast rules of routing information,creation and access mechanisms of distributed hash table,and so on.In this paper,the auther studies the operation mechanism and data service of Tor hidden service directory,and explains data storage process and operation mechanism,as well as the definition and implementation of hidden service’s distributed hash table.After that,the auther proposes the Tor-ADS model,which mainly about interface address rules,routing deployment services,and transmission communications.The Tor-ADS model is experimentally verified and evaluated,and that provides a theoretical foundamation for the Tor-ADS system in the next section.The Tor-ADS system is implemented in this paper,it mainly introduces the architectural scheme,module description and critical functional module realization,which consists of four functional modules as data creation,storage service,query service and load balancement.Besides,it also does some systematic testing and analysis.Finally,the Tor-ADS system is combined with the Tor onion browser to realize the dialectical relationship between the system and the Tor onion service that is independent and connected,and expands the research of Tor ecology.
