With the release of national policies to support the digital industry in recent years,especially on the construction of digital content,it is urgent to guide the integration of industrial forms such as animation and games,online video and digital art with cultural industry,to enhance China’s cultural soft power and meet the growing cultural needs of the people.CG image,as the technology and tool for producing digital content,is the core link of output digital content.At present,the final presentation of CG image is realized by rendering technology,which is divided into real-time rendering and offline rendering,the former is the emerging rendering technology,with the advantage of fast output content but low content quality accuracy,and the latter is the traditional rendering technology,with the advantage of high output content quality accuracy,but slow output content speed and high economic cost.With the continuous growth of science and technology,the algorithm of real-time rendering technology has been iteratively upgraded and the quality and accuracy of output content has been gradually improved,but in contrast to offline rendering technology,the content effect gap between real-time rendering technology and offline rendering technology needs to be studied to provide suggestions for digital content practitioners.This paper starts from CG rendering image-related research,combining image rendering methods with image technology elements,and selects research literature on real-time rendering images in animated short films to analyze and find the key elements and quantification methods of rendering images.Through the picture characteristics in CG images,three elements of depth of field,field of view and motion blur were selected,and three types of field of view(close-up,medium and distant)were arranged in combination with depth of field and motion blur,and finally the experimental materials were output with real-time rendering technique and offline rendering technique respectively.Based on the collection of relevant adjectives that fit the research content and the selection of adjectives with high voting rate,nine elements of perceptual cognitive responses were set: real,pleasant,rich,soft,harmonious,comfortable,interesting,likeable,and intimate,and the research hypothesis was proposed,and then experiments were conducted to measure viewers’ perceptual cognitive responses to real-time rendered images and offline rendered images,and the data were analyzed by a five-point Likert scale to obtain viewers’ subjective evaluation.It was found that real-time rendered images had a greater influence on viewers’ perceptual cognitive responses,the gap between real-time rendered images and offline rendered images was gradually decreasing,and viewers had a better preference cognitive response to real-time rendered images.Based on the results of the experimental study,the author used real-time rendering technology to produce 3D animated short films.This study expands the research content of real-time rendered images and provides guidance for digital content design practitioners with certain value and practical application space.
